Aggressive Dog Policy – QT Grooming & Pet Care

At QT Grooming & Pet Care, the safety and wellbeing of all animals—and our team—comes first. As a mobile grooming service, we work in close proximity with pets in their home environments, so it’s essential we maintain a calm and safe space for everyone involved.

Our policy on aggressive behaviour includes the following:

  1. Right to Refuse Service: We reserve the right to decline or discontinue grooming services for any dog that displays aggressive or unsafe behaviour towards our staff or other animals.

  2. Full Disclosure Required: Clients must disclose any known history of aggression, fear-based behaviours, or triggers (e.g. grooming tools, water, handling) when booking an appointment.

  3. Safety Measures in Place: We use gentle, fear-free handling techniques. In cases where safety is a concern, appropriate precautions such as muzzling may be used to protect the pet and groomer.

  4. Immediate Suspension of Service: If a dog becomes unmanageable or aggressive during grooming, the session will be paused or ended at the groomer’s discretion, and the owner will be contacted immediately. Fees will still apply for time and travel, and additional handling surcharges may be incurred.

We understand that every dog is different—and many just need a little time, trust, and QT. Thank you for your honesty and support in keeping grooming positive and safe for all.


Late Cancellation Policy – QT Grooming & Pet Care

As a mobile grooming service, appointment times are limited and carefully scheduled to allow travel and dedicated care for each pet. Late cancellations impact not only our business, but also other clients waiting for appointments.

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • Cancellations made with less than 12 hours’ notice, a non-refundable deposit will be required to secure any future bookings.

  • No-shows or cancellations at the time of arrival, will be charged the full appointment fee, including any applicable travel charges.

  • If you need to reschedule, we kindly ask for as much notice as possible so we can offer the spot to another client in need.
